Overheating BX2000...

I have a Kubota BX2000, and after 1/2 hour of running, it overheats.
I've cleaned the filters, radiator and grill with an air hose and there's plenty of coolant.

Some of the threads suggest the thermometer. Where is it, and is it hard to replace? I live 30 miles from the nearest dealer.

Thermostat... And it's usually situated at the water outlet on the head.. or very nearby.

Try a flow test on your radiator.. ( a good flushing might help it anyway )

Put your outlet hose into a 5g bucket, and stick a garden hose in your filler neck.. turn water on.. a good radiator should be able to keep up with the flow and drain into the bucket.

Make sure you clean behind the radiator (fan is reverse air flow). Hard to see behind it but can clog up very bad.

Thanks for the tips.

I flushed the radiator (the water ran out just fine).
Really cleaned the radiator.
Replaced the thermostat.

Still it overheats after 1/2 hour.

Any other ideas?

Sounds like you covered most everything. Can we assume that you tested the temp with a thermometer in the radiator neck to confirm the gauge/sending unit is good?

I guess that just leaves the water pump as a possible culprit. Is the water pump easy to replace, or is this a dealer thing?

After all you have done, the pump should be easy. Real easy if you remove the radiator.
Make sure you get all the old gasket off the block.

See if you can test the water pump.. it's a very simple type of pump... they suck from the bottom of the radiator.. taking the top hose out and aiming to a bucket with thermostat out should tell you if there is flow..
