If you go to Eureka Springs, you have to see the Passion play, you will be totally blown away.

I had no idea that was still being done. We spent the better part of a week at Dogpatch USA in either 1973 or 74, and one night a busload of us went to that Passion Play. And I agree, it was well worth it.

Bird the last time I saw Dogpatch about 10 years ago it was a overgrown hulk. Abandoned and rotting down.

There are a couple of curves on Hwy 7 there south of Harrison where you can see your own tail-lights!

Hah. I've been on some roads in Arkansas where the hills are so steep, that when you top a hill, you cannot see the bottom. Big pucker factor!

I think there are train rides in Eureka Springs including a dinner train. Did the dinner train a few years ago and was very nice and good food!

I just got back from Lampe, Mo. Spent a week on Table Rock. Those roads are really something. I am glad I have an F250 pulling the boat up and down and around those roads. Wow!

How would you ever turn your teenager loose on those roads?!

Had a blast. The floating restaurants in Kimberling City were nice. The kids (and me) thought it was cool to boat up to a slip, tie the boat, and walk in and eat a meal. Fun stuff.

Went to Bass Pro and also did a float trip on the James River at Galena. I love southwest Missouri.

I'll second Blanchard Springs Caverns. In Branson find College of the Ozarks. They have a museum with an original Clampett's truck from Beverly Hillbillies.

Forgot about th college, been there many times and agree, great stop. iirc, they had the world record trout on display (stuffed) as well.

If you go to Silver Dollar city (you should) Take the cave tour, it is awesome and a great place to cool down.

you should drive our roads when they have ice on them. It is real fun times..:thumbsup:

Just saw in local paper that Blanchard Springs Caverns will be closed till 2019 due to White Nose Bat Fungus as a preventative measure. This on orders from US Forest Service, on whose land the caverns are.

I'm sure your local newspaper is wrong. They were taking some precautions and preventative measures about a year ago but everything is back to normal now.
