Re: Pat\'s Easy Change System..ANY downside???

I just ordered mine today from Northern tool ($169.99). I added a couple things on to get the free S/H (orders over $200).

I went back and forth on it vs the John Deere Imatch. Which I decided against b/c it didn't have an adjustable top link hook, so people said they had to remove it quite often for non JD (or non Imatch compatible) attachments.

So then I thought about Speeco's quick attach and ended up deciding against it b/c despite the fact that you can adjust the top link hook people still said it didn't necessarily fit all their attachments, and they occasionaly had to remove it.

So I went with what seems to be the only quick attach unit that people never mentioned having to remove in order to attach an implement. Having to hook up the top link every time seemed like a small drawback-as that is the easy one.

BTW, I have the 4310 and despite what the specs say everyone seems to agree that it will fit. I will let you know...

Has anyone put a Pat's on a Kioti CK30? I'm only measuring about 3.75 inches before the bend in the lower arms.

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change System..ANY downside???

Keith,
I purchased the Gearmore GQH-1 quick hitch from a local Kubota dealer for $230. They had suggested I go with the Cat 1 unit even though the L5030 is equipped with Cat 2 arms. All my implements are Cat 1, so this seemed reasonable, but may not have been the best decision. The ball of the upper link is an 1/8" wider than the space on the quick hitch, but bolting on a couple 1/4" adapter plates (marked "A" in the attached photo) to the outside gave me plenty of room. This wouldn't be an issue if I had a Cat 1 three point, or if I purchased the Gearmore Cat 2 quick hitch (I believe it was an additional $100). By adding the adapter plates, I lose a little adjustment, but this is in a direction where I have plenty to spare. The Gearmore uses oversized bushings which costs $20/set - one set comes with the quick hitch. Cost at this level (under $300) isn't as big an issue with me as having a solution that works.
I've marked 3 other parts on the attached picture - "B", "C" and "D".
"B" shows the upper link "hook";
"C" is the lever to control the lower latch
"D" shows the lower latch.

Michael
