Tim, I didn't think that the older mower decks would fit the new BX series tractors. Keep us posted on how that goes, and how well it works.

A few months back, I was debating over whether to trade in my BX2200 for a BX24, or buy a Woods BH6000 to go on the BX2200. The dealer checked and said that my MMM would fit the BX24. I believe that it is not the same deck, but he said that it would fit.

Chuck, we will be fitting it up next week. It is the mower deck from the BX1830. We sized it up in a different dealership. In England they only sell the BX2350 and offer all three deck sizes. I will let you know how it goes. Tim

Thanks Tim, my dealer said that the wheelbase change from the older BX series affected the mounting setup.

I looked into the wheel base thing as I have all of the old product information and the wheel base of the 22/23 hp-BX22** & BX23** models didn't get any bigger. They stayed the same, and the 18 hp got shorter. When the deleted the BX1500 in model name only. It didn't go away. Were still dealing with the same two frame sizes. The BX1830 sits in the old BX1500 frame and has the same wheelbase and tire ratio, giving the smaller frame a better power ratio. So when you look at the old BX1830 which sat on the same frame as the BX2230 and compare it to the next generation BX with the 18hp now appearing shorter compared to the 23 hp version, some folks misconcieved that the wheel base grew on the larger model. I was also told this by my origional dealer when I went to look at the BX2350.

Better late than never, Here are some Pictures of my New BX2660. At this time I didn't have the 48" MMM. Tractor is shown with the following features: FEL, Ginma Chipper, & My wife Jane.

For those who asked that wanted to mount a narrower deck to the tractor the 48" deck from the BX1850 did fit up with just a minor modification to the rear stops where they would come in contact with the frame when raised. Pix to follow. Had to remove 3/16" from the stops with a Sawsall and touch up the paint. The deck has an additional inch of ground clearance (7") when raised compared to the 54 & 60. The cut height is off 1" (Higher) from what is indicated on the dial height. This I can live with as I don't cut anything shorter than 2". Tractor now fits nicely between the trees.

When I was comparing tractors this was a big consideration, as Kubota was the only tractor in this size that had a deck narrower than 54" and the ability to mount.

Chuck I just caught on to this. The 48" deck is not from an older BX but from current level BX1850.

Yes, that would be a different story entirely. It is the older BX1800, etc. that I heard there was a problem with.

I have been reading through the posts. Folks that want to trade up but split hairs on HP and RPM's. Why not go to the B2620 or B2920?

KUBOTA has the numbers so messed up anymore we don't know what the H___ we are looking at .

A BX2660 is a smaller frame than a B2620. Who would know?
