The OEM solution for Kubota 60 series grands is a switch & 2 halogen lights for $150 or so. All the wiring is in place already. I went crazy with overkill wiring on mine, but OEM wiring is fine for light cubes or small bars.

LED cubes & small or big bars are all over Amazon. Just search for "led light tractor" & you'll find a ton. My 42-52" bars were only $50-60 or so each & you can get 4 cubes for that these days. Cheap ones (like my bars) have cheap power supplies & cause a lot of RF noise, killing the radio.

How so? The fact they were rectangular rather than square or round? There are a decent number on Amazon with a rectangular profile either with a similar or larger number of LEDs.

Since it warmed up a bit today...and we're looking at a couple very warm (mid-40's) days before the temperatures drop again, I though I'd do a bit more clean up.
Most of the snow has been there for a few weeks. I just scrapped another inch or so off the drive.

Are you a first time Yamaha buyer? I hope to purchase a 1028 or a 1332 for my place as they use much too much salt and it creates huge ice dams along the shoulder of the road and it is very hard to keep the 2 driveways I have open.

I would rather have more power and a heavier machine with tracks like the 1332 as it has steering brakes.
About your deck, do you climb stairs with the Yamaha to clear the deck off?

I hope the blue snow mule has been enjoying the snow.

Found 7 cracks in my old Fisher Plow frame, Spent a few hours gouging them out for when I have the welder go at it. I would not trust my welding.

I have the older version of the 1028 (4 years old), it's a beast, almost impossible to choke it in snow blank, the only downside: it doesn't steer... And it's a heavy piece of machinery, is the newest version has steering brakes? If not I would go for the 1332 ($$ permetting!)

I guess pretty much all track snowblower can climb stairs, but... they do slip... And even rubber track can chew through soft wood stairs... It's a new deck made out of yellow pine, so I always use two 8'' X 2'' 6 feet long board.

Love the liner inside the chute, in wet snow + rain, the tractor snowblower (Martin) will clog, not the Yamaha...

Never ever had issue with it (always use 94 octane ethanol free gas / oil changes every year / battery tender during summer)

They did not offer back then the track steering...

What is nice also it's very well built for outside, of course, but also to stay outside, everything is well protected, you can leave it in a snowstorm, take a breack for 1 hour, them no issue...

PS: With the Yamaha I'm able to go on the lake, make a 300 yard track for them, hay + corn + soya: they like it so much they are now bedding at my place for the night :licking:

Hi Fallon, The rectangular LED lights Chim used on the rear of his tractor look/appear to be very thin. Most of the LED lights I've seen and the ones I have installed on my tractor are much thicker
so I was just curious, that's all.

You generally want flood rather than spot for tractor use. My bars have a spotlight center section for a long throw & a good hotspot. But the sides are flood to give wide coverage to the sides. The curve helps side coverage too.

Just a plain old bucket but it made a good snow weapon for pushing back banks today. Kind of a dark day but 50*.
