Pin on vs. Q/A Survey for FEL

/ Pin on vs. Q/A Survey for FEL #31
Kubota B21 has (essentially) non removable loader, pins for bucket. Have never taken them off. Have clamp on forks at reduced capacity. If I ever get another loader, it will have SSQA.

iMatch on 3PH on JD4520. Initially didn't have it, then got it, will never be without it again. It's really clear that at either end of the tractor, the easier it is to change implements the more likely you are to use the right tool for the job.

QA on my Grand L5030 and Case CX80 with pinned ones on my 2660 and MF375.

QA on my IH 454, SSQA on my JD 5425. Don't really need QA on the 454 since I never take the bucket off. Extremely handy on the JD where I am constantly swapping between 6' bucket, pallet forks, manure forks and round bale spear, none of which I would likely use on the 454. On the 5425, I probably have the pallet forks on the most often because I put all my 3 pt implements on pallets so I can easily move them around to cut grass, without hooking them up. I hate weed whacking tall grass growing around equipment.

SSQA on my NH 2310 (TC40) and sure glad its on there. I switch between the bucket and the pallet forks often, and the SSQA makes it a 60 second operation.

Chris,

I don't take off my loader -- but I don't carry around the FEL bucket unless I need it.

Same here when I don't want to remove the loader. Those buckets go 200-300 lbs and there's no use putting more strain on the front axle.

My JD has a QA setup-it's standard on all their loaders, it was part of my decision to buy green. I aslo use the JD iMatch QH for all my 3PH implements.

Same here. :D

I wouldn't add the extra weight of the SSQA, or want the extra length either.
Also extra weight on the attachments to accept the SSQA
:)

I started with the Kubota pin on bucket, but switched to the Kubota style QA for the loader. I like the JD set up better since I have to tap the pins in, and out of my QA, but I wouldn't trade it back to pin on for sure! Loss of curl / lift? Well, on my small tractor, I can still pick the loaded back tires off the ground with my heavy box blade back there so I doubt I'm giving up much!

Skid steer carrier and attachment plate on bucket may add 40 lbs or so compared to standard JD quick attach. The amount of weight added is not important. The skid steer attachment carrier adds no additional length to the FEL.

JD has gone to global carrier attachment on the bigger tractors instead of their system. GCA is the industry/world standard on tractor loaders with more lift. JD needs to get with the program on skid steer carrier on their CUTS. I will say, the JD system is certainly better than a pin on bucket. However, may companies now only offer the skid steer carrier as their only option vs a pin on bucket.

Yes, JD has their own version but it is not as adaptable or useful for non-JD attachments.

Really?:confused2:

I guess my grapple and forks don't work then, must have been a dream...
