A comment on filters in general: Years ago I read an article about the rate of "dirtiness" for crankcase oil, with measurment taken with engine that had no filter. The conclusion was that it would reach harmful levels about three thousand miles, about the recommended change interval at the time.
I was not ready to dismiss oil filters based on that, but did conclude that any non-junk filter would be fine, no need to worry about the "bestest" brand.
As long as you don't have anything go bad and start dumping shrapnel into the system that is a good plan...

What? This can't be so, can it? I recently saw a tractor filter made in India or maybe Pakistan.

It says car filters but a lot of guys shop for crossover deals for tractors and the cheapest price so who knows what you get?
What!? You believed the hype (advertising)?
You get one free with a purchase of five quarts of oil - if they were made in the USA, they would cost as much as the oil itself!
Years ago the mother of a woman I was dating told how, in the shirt factory she worked in, they would periodically ring a bell or sound a horn, then go round to the stations to change out the labels they were sewing onto the shirts on their line.
Branding is often as much a gimmick as an indicator of higher quality and price. Especially as time goes on the 'the brand' loses 'market share' and strives to maintain profit margins.
A factory operating like that shown in teh video would be in violation of lotsa osha regs and likely has something less than an ideal safety record, lots of deaf retirees as well as many digitally impaired.

That is what happens when you buy off ebay, those are counterfeit. Mazada is top notch, those are not genuine. Thanks for posting it!!!!!

I spent a summer working in a Machine shop. The only difference between that shop and the "facility" in the video was the volume of space we had around our tools. It was just as dirty and noisy.

After the video played through, it offered one of a similar shop making Hydraulic cylinders. Interesting side note, the video looked like it was flipped. All the bolts were threading on Lefty Tighty and Righty Loosey.

Was looking online for Baldwin and Donaldson filters. Funny thing was most of the paint on the ones I found online wasnt exactly the right color. A shade or two off and some were the wrong color altogether.
Im leery of price shopping online now due to counterfeits.

Those are sold as a brand name on Amazon. I know a guy who bought a Fleetguard there and it separated near the top he sent it them and they said they had others like it. They did not make them the way it was made. He went to Amazon but the seller was gone!

These are NOT Fuel Filters unless Mazda has a Diesel. They are OIL Filters.
First, the filters CLEARLY say Fuel Filter on them

Second, just because you don't see them in the USA doesn't mean that Mazda doesn't make diesel engine vehicles. If you travel the world, you will see that Mazda diesel powered cars and trucks are quite ubiquitous.

Years ago Toyota had a centrifical oil filter on their 6 cylinder truck engines driven by the cam shaft or the return pressure from the oil pump can't remember which it was but I have seen both types on Jap engines , no paper filters to dispose of just dismantle it wash it out and away you go, took slightly longer than changing a spin off filter, Early Leyland diesels had a reusable sock type of oil filter quite messy to wash out and time consuming as they were about 3 ft long stretched out,Then there were after market add on filters that used a roll of tolet paper they were a bit messy changing the rolls but quite effective, We used this type of filters on diesoline as we had to buy our fuel in 44 gallon drums stored in hot humid climates they were great to filter out the black slime that grows in stored fuel, certainly cut down on fuel filter blockages, you can't get a cheaper filter than the cost of a toilet roll.
Recently I made an adapter for a spin off type for my old inter tractor thats the same type used on my truck saves having to keep diferent types on hand,I also buy my oil from the oil and fuel depot, and now only have to buy one type of oil that's compatable with all my tractors and truck, where as before they did a compatability search I needed three diferent types at three dfferent prices.

My sllitter tractor has a cover you remove (one bolt in the center) and take out a brass screen basket, wash it with diesel and put it back in.

A lot of the race cars use the same system, and it works great.
