As the title indicates, our snow is going down so I'm in the process of removing the pods and putting the summer wheels back on. This is on a Polaris 6x6 Boss. And to pre-answer the question that gets asked over and over again. That is, "why not just leave the tracks on?" The pods are not at all practical to leave on, when there is no snow. They are terribly hard on the operator, hard on the pods and tear the grass up in your yard, like a tiller. Not fun at all.

Guys, Took the pods off today and da wheels back on. In case anyone wonders. The rubber thing with lugs that goes on the pods, is a track. Like when you buy one for your snowmobile, the rest of the machine does not come with the rubber lugged part.

I did the front ones first and needed to remove the stabilizers. These parts keep the pods from rotating to much, yet still allows lots of up and down movement. The stabilizer is the triangular part you see in the third photo and bolts to the suspension A frames.

Now the rears. Most machines have stabilizers on the rear as well, but 6x6's don't need the rear ones. The photo are out of order but I put a wheel back on as soon as a pod is off as seen in the 4th photo. I did have an extra jack under it in case it fell over. The last photo show the three tools used for this job. A trox, 14mm open end wrench and socket 14mm. Soucy does a real nice jog building these pods. I like them waaaaaay better than Camso products.

In case anyone wonders, the rear pods are like 140lbs each and the fronts about 80lbs each.
