New to the forum. We have two Polaris ASL300 units, (same as ASV RC30). Both units have between 1000 & 1500 hours. We love the machines when they work, ie - landscaping & snow removal. Our problem is with the hydraulic drive motor / sprocket weldment. In the last 3 years we have put in five (5) weldment / motors at about $1400 for parts each time. We go by the book on installation cleaning the shaft, using Loc-tite primer 7471, putting Loc-tite 680 onto the shaft before installing the sprocket using red Loc-tite on the bolt torqued to the correct amount, allowed to dry for about 24 hours before use. The bolts are still coming loose and allowing the sprocket to spin on the hydraulic motor shaft and destroying both. Is there ANYTHING that anyone has found to remedy this problem? We have gone so far as to check and see if we could get the pump motor with splines on the shaft and talked to a machine shop to cut out the tapered piece in the sprocket weldment and build something for us with splines to weld back in ! We are at a loss. Don't want to give up the machines but can't continue doing what we are doing. They are awesome little machines moving dirt and pushing snow. Someone please help. Thank you, Tim
