I found out last week that the rookie at the firehouse I've been working at the last couple of months personally knows the owner of the dealership where my dad bought his tractor. The rookie gave him a call and told him I was coming in to get a price and treat me right. That dealer had the MX5100 HST with FEL with AG tires in stock on the lot and let me test drive it. We sat down and ran some numbers and came back with the exact same price of $27,500 for the tractor and FEL, but they included the grille guard (which apparently isn't standard anymore), filled tires AND DELIVERY 90 MILES TO MY HOUSE. For $900 more, I'm having them add the third function for the FEL. I'm turning in my application for Kubota Finance tomorrow and she should be mine in the very near future.

Congratulations on your new tractor, the 5100 is in my opinion a real value in the Kubota lineup and now is the time to add stuff like third function, fluid, bucket hooks etc.

After taxes (since I'm not AG exempt yet), the tractor, FEL and bucket, grille guard, third function, and loaded tires came out to $30,104.00. I will be doing KTAC. Should be about 1 week until the dealer can deliver it since they have to order the third function valve and install it.

Rear remotes?

No. I couldn't think of anything I would run off of the rear that uses hydraulics and if I did, buying the kit and installing it myself isn't that difficult to do down the road.

I didn't see a "need" for one for years then about three years ago, since my tractor had rear remotes, I decided to get a hydraulic top link to see what all the fuss was about; never knew something could be so handy. When I bought my L5740 I got Top and Tilt and use it with my land Pride HR3584 box scraper; also handy with other 3PH implements.

Once you have a hydro top link you will never go back - one of the best things I have ever added!
