I had the dealer to install a remote service valve on my Branson 2400. It was to be used to operate the hydraulic third link. It worked for about 1 day. Now it will does not work. Now when I try to extend or retract the the cylinder ram, it causes the relief to operate.
What would cause this?

One of your cyl hoses is not connected correctly.

Reset the QD's if used.

I disconnected the cylinder and connected the work ports together with a bypass hose. Still does the same thing, could it be a bad valve?

Did you couple with the QD's or a union.

If you used the QWD, you may still have QD problem.

If you used a union to couple the hoses together, the fluid is supposed to go in one port and out the other port. If the relief activates in that situation, something is blocking the flow.

Remove the cyl from the remote valve and place the hose in a bucket and see if there is equal flow from both work ports hoses.
