thanks for some help...the lift hieght is approximately 12+ feet...the pond is 15' deep the intake is about 2+ feet off bottom...hydrant is about 2+' above ground...so its a fairly decent lift height... really would like a three point PTO driven pump that is fixed to a three point frame work that would support in use and when stored. most sprayer or roller pumps I have seen are just loose types with no support to tractor etc.

A website or manufacturer name would be great...

Wrong. Like pat said, lift is 2' plus distance ground is above pond plus distance pump is above hydrant.

OK...I get it...the lift from water hieght which is below frost line is about 8 feet...regardless do you guys think the gator pump and/or the rivoatti will pull the water and give sufficient PSI for power washing fire supression etc.??

At 265gpm @ 140 psi you won't be able to hold onto the hose very well, but will make a great washdown/fire suppression pump.

265 gpm @ 140psi? That's a water cannon! No way could you hold onto it!!!

KB--so where do you find a small one of these things and for how much?

Exactly...the configuration is correct but the volume is way too much...my needs are much more modest...I don't need to empty my pond just drawn water out to wash equipment, flood the ice to resurface it etc.

with that baby I would need 10 brawny fire fighters to hold onto the hose!

any additional help would be great...anyone know anything about the gator company I listed back a few posts? I have emailed them with no info yet.

One could run the pto slower if less volume/pressure was desired. The fire hose stations at my workplace are throttled to 100 psi for usage by untrained personnel. Our fire brigade members could handle 265 @ 145 psi. I noticed a hand vacuum pump on top for priming. If you're unfamiliar with pumps you might not realize how convenient this feature is. Priming some pumps is a real PITA. MikeD74T

It seems as though you want low to moderate volume with pressure capability. Try hypro.com. They have a wide variety of pumps designed for agriculture. Many are pto driven some are hydraulic driven. A moderate volume roller pump maybe what you need. Centrifugal pto pumps tend to be high volume/pressure. Roller pumps have more moderate volume with high pressure.

I have a PTO roller pump that I got from Northern Tool a few years ago... used it once just to test it out... will pump a 55 gal barrel dry in about 30 seconds.
