well of course you have to be aware of the load... if you know you can make, say 8000 watts.. don't be stupid and hookup a 18000w draw!
Also be aware that motor starts are higher than motor runs.
I agree ^^^^^ but if we start adding common sense to these threads that will limit the need for half of the discussions. It is apparent that "hands on experience" is being replaced with "arm chair what if" discussions. It helps to have a basic understanding of electricity and physics in general to resolve these questions.
