Punks trespass, property damage, cops want help getting abandoned jeep, need advice

Good. Then they should be in a financial situation to make good on all damage.

Reminds me of when I was a hit and run victim.

The case was missing from the docket, clerk said it was cancelled but since I was the complainant only I could cancel it.
The court clerk pulled me aside into a closet like room and handed me $500.00 + mileage.
YEP, there sure is a fair justice system out there. The accused was the judge's son!
Think I would have won? (Sorry for the judge but his offspring was pure punk.)

Just because he's way up there in a big company doesn't mean that he'll do the right thing. Some of the biggest s#&*bags on the planet are high-ups in big companies and they didn't get there through altruism.

I'd demand it be air lifted and I'd expect payment in full, in cash, prior to removal. All damages (full value of trees at harvested age, not where they are now), repairs, backhoe for clean up of spilled oil, hauled in clean fill and top soil to fill hole from oil spill, etc.

You didn't ask for them to park it there, you're in control of how and when it comes back out. Possession is 9/10ths.

That's Canada, the Crown open cases because people call 911 at hockey games. Dont worry, there are no shortage of judicial abuses here.

The police report was real simple and vague. Even my parents insurance co thought it was lame. Still don't know if he had insurance and my parents homeowners deductible is more than the damage. No word from the people about the jeep so it still sits in the field. Will have to do small claims court I guess.

Yes, that is a problem with small town police forces.
One local LEO has 4 siblings so the LEO owes a lot of favors.

A friend lives across the street from a stop sign.
Jags, caddies BMW's rarely get ticketed and being privileged rarely even bother to stop.
Early AM workers driving older clunkers get tickets all the time.
That friend knowing LEO's hide there all the time always does a legal stop except one time they spread dry sand on hard blue ice.
Well that is like driving on marbles and so he slid 1/3 car length into intersection, result was $100 fine and points.
