Wisconsin Law Enforcement agencies are required to supply a victim notification sheet. This provides a case number, agency name, agency number, and District attorney number. The 10 day report sounds about right. Contact the Agency again about the insurance info then call the DA. Your parents are the victims of criminal trespass with a motor vehicle and criminal damage to property. They would need to do the calling though not you. Good luck

Update: no word from the perps mom/friend. I finally got sense into dad to follow through by getting damage est into report. Was he just trusting these yahoos? Also leave it open for a storage fee.

Get a torch, cut it up into pieces and either junk the metal or set it all by the side of the road. Stop the B.S. Set an example for the rest of the punks who are probably sitting in a bar right now imagining how cool the joy ride and crash was.

They failed to mention that the driver had been busted 4 times for not having insurance, and has a DUI court date coming up.

See if your state will allow witnesses at DUI hearing. If they do, tell your story and show pictures of the beer cans your mom found.

Both of these are going to make life harder for his parents. Don't focus on revenge. Just work toward getting fair compensation for the damage.

I would totally agree with the (make sure that everyone who sets foot on the property is a fully insured professional ), if you let the boyfriend and son get the jeep you could be held responsible if they got hurt on your property .

My :2cents: is if he is having problems already with DUI and other things the parents may not be in a rush to get the Jeep back it is an excuse for them to keep him off the road...

The mom's boyfriend is very up in the ranks at a very large company, that does VERY big jobs, and has VERY big equipment. When I do the word very in caps...I MEAN it! I will not name the person or the company as that would not be proper.
