Question for B2920 owners.

   / Question for B2920 owners. #21
I traded in my B7510 for a B2920 in May and switched from turf to R4 tires. Although I use it primarily to mow my 2 acres of lawn with a 60 inch finish mower, I also do a fair amount of FEL work. I ordered a heavy duty tooth bar and it is more than capable of filling the bucket even in our hard, rocky clay soil. It is basically a beast. I'm digging a small pond. I also have an 8N that I used mainly to brush hog as the mower was a bit too hefty for the 7510, but the 2920 handles it easily. There were areas in my lawn where the 7510 would labor with my finish mower when the grass was high. With the B2920, the engine doesn't even change speed. Very happy with it.

I have a 2620 with R4s. I was going to buy a 2920 with turfs but found this unit used with 100 hours for a great price.

I have an old used 60" rear snowblower that eorks fine in deep snow. Of course a front blower would be easier to use. As to width, a 5 ft rear blade is typically angled which shortens its profile. As to tires, its always a trade off. Most agree that turfs are better for lawn and snow work but not for woods, loader, or tilling etc. Now that I have been running the R4s for a few years, I dont miss thr turfs. I had the rears filled with beet juice based product (cant remember the name). I typically dont use chains and they dont tear up the lawn.

Youll love the 2920. You might price out rear remotes but they can be added later. I want top and tilt but it will probably run about $1500.

Do any of you have the Quick Coupler on the FEL Bucket?
I'm thinking that would be handy but one of the dealers I'm talking to is trying to talk me out of it.
He said it will push the bucket out farther away from the tractor and lower the amount of weight is can handle.

Thanks for all your input it's great to hear about your tractors and what you have been doing with them.
Looks like I will be pulling the trigger on the B2920 in the next week. Just deciding on what extras I would
like put on at the dealer. I would love a backhoe but need the snowblower more.

The lifting loss is pretty minimal with the bucket installed (you can still lift a heaped bucket of aggregate even with the QA) and you gain a huge amount of lift capability by being able to use pin-on forks instead of forks that bolt on to the bucket.

If you intend to use pallet forks much (I use them for moving sheet goods, lumber, pallets with any number of things on them, etc.), the QA is a no-brainer to purchase. It reduces the changeover time between the bucket and forks to under 60 seconds even if you're loafing.

If you absolutely must have the maximum lift capability, well, unbolt the QA and pin the bucket or forks directly onto the loader arms. Somehow I doubt you'd ever get around to doing this.

Very nice! That looks extremely useful. Did you have to add an extra hydraulic function to make it work? Looks like a great idea for tree work.

Yes I did have to add the third function valve kit.The valve kit is also from W.R.LONG.Cal2620

I just want to thank everyone for all the great advice, pointers, and general information about your tractors. Your input has been very helpful.

Two weeks ago I made my final decision and bought a New B2920 w/ FEL, MMM, FM snowblower, With loaded R4's.
To cover all my bases, Here are some photos to show it really happen. :D
Being delivered off the truck, hauling the FM snowblower. Then down by the barn putting the MMM away for the winter. Then just playing around in the dirt to get her dirty. She looks a bit small Next to that John Deer. But that pile of logs is what is helping to pay for my new Kubota. The first job on the list was to finish cleaning out the barn and haul all the scrap wood, and an old demolished shed to the burn pile. We had a nice rain last week and we burned it all off.
The tractor has been busy every day. Trying to get as much done before the snow flies.
