Sweet!

Those are turf tires right, any problems with traction without chains?

Is it Hydraulic or manual angle?
I got a price of $1400 for a new Manual angle blade.
Do you have any idea what a new Hydraulic angle blade cost?
I'm also checking into a used Hydraulic angle blade.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

PS/up date.
Just got these quotes on 3 different Front Blades.

1* $1900 New hydraulic up/down and angle
2* $1400 New hydraulic up/down and manual angle
3* $1500 Used hydraulic up/down and angle
Now which one to pick?
Always decisions and trade offs.

Take the used, as long as it's hyd. angle. You do not want a manual. These things CAN NOT be worn out. They would easily hold up to a tractor twice the HP of the BX.

I had about ruled out the Manual thus narrowing it down between the
1* $1900 New hydraulic up/down and angle
and the
3* $1500 Used hydraulic up/down and angle

The advantage of the $1900 New hydraulic up/down and angle blade is I can get the 0% financing on it.
Financing is about 7% on the $1500 Used hydraulic up/down and angle blade.

Yes, I had turfs on my BX23, traction was never a big issue. I could generally push just as much as I wanted, even up hill. Certainly with those rainy slushy icy events it slipped around some but it got the job done without too much trouble. What I found was that the rears lost traction much less than the front of the machine got pushed around with the blade angled, sometimes I used the blade to steer the tractor.

I have a 13% slope with a hair pin turn on one part of the driveway, because my house is above the road the first pass was always a full blade right down the middle. Then I angled the blade max to one side and went up and down.

Occasionally coming back up I would get sliding pretty good and would just take less of a bite and come back down taking more.

Good luck, we've had no rain here this year, let's hope we get some snow.

I just ordered my BX2350 with the hydraulic blade Thursday. The total was about $1836
Well I just talked to the dealer that I'm trying to purchase the 2 Kubota BX1500 tractors from.
Got a price of just under $1900 for a new front blade with hydraulic lift & hydraulic angle.
Sounds like his price is in line with the price you got.
Thanks for the info.

1*I left my BH on for ballast and never had serious traction problems.
AMR
2* I assume you can leave the quick hitch attached but remove the blade if you need to use the FEL .
rpoage
3*It's a good thing the Hyd blade for the BX models attaches to the frame and not the FEL arms.

1*My plan is to use the tiller as ballast when the front blade is on the BX1500.
2*What*s nice is I don't hafta remove a blade to use the FEL or remove the FEL to use the blade by having a BX23 and a BX1500.
3*Yeah especially for those who don't have a FEL.

Hi. Has anyone put a hydralic snowblade on their BXs FEL? Must be a advantage to be able to lift/push the snow if you get big snow walls. Or is the BXs FEL to weak for this purpose?

There are threads about fel mounted blades here .
I was reading them recently.
Don't know where right off hand but you can do a search.:)
