Rezloh Edge vs. Tooth Bar

I am considering putting either a Rezloh edge or tooth bar on my 1992 Cat 416 loader. It will be used for many things such as: digging dirt, possibly digging some caliche, pulling roots, trees, carrying brush, picking up rocks, etc. etc. etc.

I know the rezloh is more expensive that a tooth bar. What are your experiences/thoughts on these two items for the above mentioned applications?

I hadn't heard of them until you mentioned it. They look like they might be interesting. I ran "rezloh" through Google and got a few hits but all the sites look like they use the same press release.

It looks like a reinforced flat blade that's been kissed with a plasma here and there. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have two buckets for my tractor. One is the flat blade that I got with the machine. They offered me a choice between tooth and blade and I chose blade because I pick up dirt off of concrete quite often. I thought the blade would be much more efficient at this.

I got the tooth bucket in a sorta kinda trade. I like it for digging and for finishing. If you can have both then you have the best of both worlds.

The tooth bars have longer teeth and farther apart so for clearing roots and rocks it should do a better job.
The rezloh edge would work better for back dragging if u need smooth finish.

I'd like to get a tooth bar for digging stumps. Then again, having an extra bucket would save me from having to install and remove the toothbar. The biggest problem that i can see with the quick attach loader is needing a second tow rig to haul the attachments around...you never know when a use will pop up for something you didn't haul with you!

Just need a longer trailer, I have a 20' one and usually take my 250 Deere w/ 4' trencher, 1 or 2 buckets, forks, 9' backhoe and sometimes the 6' boxblade or 2 ton roller.
It makes a good load for my Duramax.
Like u said it's better to take it all w/ u.
Only thing better would be to get the SSL and the TC35D on together but it's a little short.

I have a Rezloh on my skid steer, I like it! There are some limitations though because it bolts onto the bottom of the bucket it when you float the bucket you may or may not be level. I've pulled A LOT of stumps and have not found the closer teeth to be a great detractor. Also by design you have the bolt sticking up inside the bucket so you have to 'shake' the bucket to get everything to dump, so course this depends on what your digging. For the extra money, I 'm glad I went with the Rezloh.

I have the rezloh on my TC33D, love it. It has handled everything that I have try with it. I don't think a regular toothbar would holdup too well digging in the rocky ground like I do, the longer teeth would most likely break. You can also use the teeth as a rake. It may cost a little more, but you will not have to take it off to do different jobs.
