I didn't read anywhere about a shutdown at all..
I would let them do it, I would also email corporate to let them know and they will follow this along with the dealership, when the manufacture contacts the dealer to follow up on the issue the dealership tends to be more honest and it quickly gets looked at. Keep ALL paperwork from corporate and the dealer on this issue , if something goes wrong a year down the road you will have what you need if it happens.
If it lost power, I would think it did so because there is a safe guard of some sort to tell it to do so, IDK. If it lost power due to overheating, it very well could have damaged something internally IMO..
This could be the beginnings of a nightmare tractor or it could be a non issue, cover you're bases..
