Service Animals

Therefore making it more difficult for people who genuinely need a service animal.

OTOH it's been a year and I still miss my service turkey... she would have gotten along well with my new service plant, cranberry.

Cranberry :licking: you need to keep your new service plant off my land! It's a few miles anyway.

My dog is blind, so I'm his seeing eye person. He does pretty well though. Sometimes I swear he has some sort of Jedi sonar capability.

Our last Chinese Crested was a service dog, he would escape from home and run into town and 'service' quite a few dogs in the couple of hours he was gone, there are some strange looking dogs walking around town that only a mother could love.

People are going to think there is an outbtpreak of mange in town

I remember somebody that had a support Mole. She kept it on her upper lip in plain view. Think her name was Cindy. You may have seen her pictures.

It has gotten out of hand. Service dogs are great unless you are allergic to dogs and wind up next to one on a four hour flight I am slightly allergic to dogs but love them. I would not be upset with having one next to me to help out another person.

BTW, if someone comes onto a plane with a service chicken, I will ask that I be moved to first class as I am allergic to chickens...even though I am not. Same for a snake, pig, etc. if airlines cannot draw the line, we must. If you need a service snake, drive!!

If you need a service snake, see a psychologist.

At some point in life most of us have needed a service snake at least once. They call themselves lawyers or attorneys though.

I detest people that claim their pet is a "Service Dog", when in fact, its only a pet. Not that I have anything against pets, I have a few myself and love them dearly, but a pet is NOT a Service Dog. Service Dogs should be properly trained and tested. Those $35 certificates that you can buy online are deceiving and have instantly destroyed the reputation of a Service Dog.

At one time I highly respected dogs that carried the title of Service Dog. In the recent past, it was always an owner that truly needed assistance for some disability that had a Service Dog. No longer. They're as common as Handicap Parking Permits these days. Its unfortunate that people abuse privileges for what should be reserved for those that truly needed assistance.

I'm with you k0ua! People that abuse the small privileges of the handicapped should themselves be treated with complete disrespect and disdain.
