The back story (I think) makes this qualify for this thread

You'll have to explain. Other than no fenders and facing the wrong way I don't see why what's wrong.

I bought the trailer and truck to haul logs to the mill, but with log prices down I haven't hauled anything that's made money. In this case the car broke down so I retrieved it and fixed it, which cost moneyThat one has me stumped also.
Changed chains, clevis locations, chain binder locations repeatedly for nearly an hour before getting the rear tied down in a manner I felt comfortable with to head home I started out real slow, stopped twice to check rigging in the first five miles. I've had never hauled a car on a flat bed before. Also looks almost like the rear chain is hooked from the DRings to the rear of the trailer and not connected to the car, hope no panic braking was needed.
Amazing, the level of ingenuity it took to secure that load!Loaded Mercury
Did they have a chase car to pick them up after they took off their straps and left everything else at the scrapyard?Loaded Mercury

Well said. That was my impression too, that this is the last trip for that Mercury as well as its cargo.Did they have a chase car to pick them up after they took off their straps and left everything else at the scrapyard?
