Surprisingly, I just received mine today. Very nice looking machine. :cool2:
It wasn't supposed to be here until tomorrow. I had to pay tax on it so I suppose it came out of the Amazon warehouse in Texas.

When I took it out of the box, I saw it was the newer style with the tong type electrode holder, like this one. :)

If Amazon has a facility within your state you (usually) have to pay state sales tax on all purchases made from them. Here in Md. were only a few months away from being taxed due to a disto ctr being built near Baltimore which sucks for me since i'm only 25 miles from the one in tax free Delaware.

Just for the record, I'm pretty sure the PA200 does have arc force and hot start, just that they are fixed, not adjustable, like on the PA300.

No actually they adapt to the amp setting and arc length. It is fixed as far as narrower boundaries, but no the hot start and arc force react to the need as conditions change somewhat.

I can confirm what Josh states.
The PA200 does have automatic hot start and arc force.

The PA300 gives the ability to adjust both of those features.

Mine arrived this morning, just brought it home from work (so no one had lust on their brain)
I got the better stinger.

Do the connectors cross over to a tweco branded connector?

I have never seen the little nib on the teat before.

If not can we buy them from you? Or where can you buy them?

I have a hundred or so feet of cable I want to make work.

lilranch, is your inspection date October of 2013?

I think I would just as soon have the stub type stinger. The spring in the new type is so stiff, it's going to give my arthritic fingers a work out.

Lilranch,

These are the most common connectors worldwide. Unfortunately Tweco is not. These are DINSE connectors which are the standard connector you will find on Miller and Lincoln and other products.

You should give a try at removing the connectors from the cables that came from the factory. You should be able to pull back the rubber boot, then remove a retaining set-screw. I haven't taken my cables apart to verify this, but that's usually how DINSE connectors work.

You should be able to find them at any welding supply, or on line. They come in two sizes, you want the larger size.

Edit: three sizes, you want the middle one.

Actually they come in THREE sizes...but I digress.....Ask for the 50 series or the 35/70mm2. Or the half inch DINSE.
