Yeh, that filter guard doesn't do much justice, honestly. Its really screwy MF has nothing for us on this.
Meanwhile, Kubota: View attachment 624938 View attachment 624937
I would say in the last few years it has started to get better though. There were more DL95/CB65 add-ons made aftermarket than DL100/CB05 add-ons. There is the brotek rear skid plate option available as well l...just not a full suit of armor for the whole underside. Curtis and Sims both makenhars factory style cans for the GC. As MF GC tractors continue to hopefully gain traction there will be more made available. There is probably a 4:1 ratio of Kubota SCUTs out there vs GCs... unfortunately, as we know, that drives the aftermarket.
I will likely look at doing this and creating a full skid plate this winter. I have my GC in an unheated garage but could easily put a space heater out there and have space to make something. I'll have to add it to that huge list of things to build around here.If I was physically able and had a heated shop well a shop that was not packed like a storage unit I would go out and buy a sheet of that perforated metal the kind with holes and I would start measuring and cutting then bending that into shape and after I got it to fit I would then I would cut and weld it out of regular sheet of steel or aluminum, would be a good winter project.
Unfortunately I am one of those that have to purchase something like that due to physical limitations. FYI eight years ago I would be making something to fit myself.
1) holy cow is that crampedI have a nice kerosene heater but this is what my shop/garage looks like now, can not wait till I get my new shop built even though I have physical limitations on what I can do at least I could still hang out and do some stuff to help alleviate cabin(house) fever.
