I didn't expect that big of a HP difference. Especially when you say the Cat feels like it has less power. That's surprising.
If your machine is the one posted in your video, it didnt come with a factory turbo. The factory engine is a Kubota v2203-EB non turbo, 46hp.I have a 19 yr old Bobcat 773. Owned it for about 7 yrs. It's not rusty but a bit worn and works great. Has a turbo 4 cylinder Kubota diesel engine that makes 50 + hp. It does everything my tractor can't.
I ran the same model machine for years at work before I got a chance to acquire this one. No regrets with the purchase.
thanks for the infoIf your serious about a skidsteer, I'd go with a bobcat brand. Operating heavy equipment for 35 years now I've operated all brands. Twenty plus yrs ago we bought a couple Cats to go along with our Bobcats. My boss man is a Cat man all the way and hated to have white mixed with yellow. Even to this day he keeps a couple Cats around after, mainly due to his stubbornness. The cats are plain and simply, money pits! We had 2 cat engines blow, non stop (expensive) undercarriage issues and just about everything else you can imagine. Even on a 3 yrs old, lightly used 279D the two speed went out. Nine thousand dollars later the two speed works again. The funny thing is, the Cats hardly get used on a job site because nobody at work likes to use them. Also beware of any machine that has the air conditioner cooling radiator mounted to the ***** back doors. Ive saw some horror stories because the doors are flimsy and full of cooling holes. Any skidsteer should have a real back door made of solid steel, like Bobcats are. Regardless of who operating a skidsteer, they will back into something. The bobcats have been animals over the years and have been thru hell and back. We have never had any issues with them over the years other than general maintenance. Maybe a blown hose or so, but most issues have been self inflicted. I was sad to see the Kubota engines go when Bobcat was bought out by Doosan. But so far the Doosan engines have been very reliable. However, I have heard the first 2 yrs (2014-16, maybe) had some fuel related issues. So beware to anyone looking at a machine of that year.
