We went from 65 and sunny yesterday to blowing snow this morning. But spring is just around the corner...maybe.

I was out installing landscape lights yesterday …nice sunny, but chilly day. Woke up to 4” new snow. Still coming down.

Well - it tried. Early this AM we got an inch. It's rapidly going away - it's raining now.

above 3000 feet from Thursday through Sunday morning. Minor
accumulations down to around 2000 feet. Winds gusting as high as
75 mph or higher.

* WHERE...West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada, Northeast Foothills,
Motherlode, and Western Plumas County/Lassen Park above 2000
feet. Including Interstate 80 and Highway 50.

* WHEN...From 4 AM Thursday to 10 AM PST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Extremely dangerous to impossible travel conditions
with extended road closures likely. Widespread blowing snow will
create blizzard conditions with white-out conditions and near
zero visibility. Very strong winds, combined with heavy snow
could cause extensive tree damage and extended power outages.

It snowed here last night but you had to look hard to find it. It got up to about 78 yesterday and then last evening it dropped 10 degrees and hour for a while, 15 degrees this morning with 20 mph winds, wind chills below zero.

70 here yesterday, presently 31 and the wind is blowing hard. Typical Michigan weather. Staying inside today.

-8°F this morning and just finished blowing the snow with the tractor. 36” drifts in the driveway. Pretty much every road in every direction is either closed or was closed.

It's 46 here and been raining on and off all day. Down to 0 tonight, will turn everything into a skating rink.The temps for the next week or so are looking like a pogo stick.

AH - once again - warmer temps and rain have melted what little snow we got early this AM.

Yesterday - 2/27 - was bright sun shine. Went outside - Brrrrr.
26F and windy. It was a quick trip.

yep, woke up to 6 inches of this yesterday. turned to rain at noon and left behind slop. Ran the blade up and down the driveway so UPS could deliver.

We got about 4” by 10am, than turned to rain. Didnt bother moving anything,,,, will be gone soon enough. This morning 6am it was 42°

-10°F this morning for feeding animals. No snow and beautiful clear skies, next snow is Sunday. Ran both tractors to move snow to get ready….

That IS a great pic - Robert. Notice - the deer are broken into two groups. Those who fear the heavy snow load on the trees may fall on them and the fearless ones.

Now - if I were standing under those trees - the "branch load" would have already fallen on me!!!

It tried again this morning. But the snow turned to rain. We DID get 0.25 inches of rain.

Sooner or later Arlyn - gonna have to ditch the tracks and get out that mower.

I just wonder if this is going to be our winter this year. Snowed 1 1/2 inches last night. Today at 3:30 its all gone again. It IS a real boon for our soil moisture. It's all soaking in - not running off.
