Starter problems for a Kubota

Without a diagram or understanding of how the circuit works, it is pretty hard to diagnose. On the key switch when you turn it to the start position, what color of wire is energized? where does it go from there? just keep on chasing it..We know that the starter solenoid is not energized to pull up, so why not? you have to figure out what is in the middle.

I do not know if there is a relay for switch. I will try to get a wiring diagram.

I don't know if there is a starter relay. Do you know where they would put it?

On the firewall if there is one

You have seat switch, pto, clutch, hst peddle, fuse box, and a main fuse. Also check for good connections of the bat. leads, on the - check at frame and the + at the starter. If you want to turn it over just take a small jumper wire, hook one end to battery and the other end to the solenoid after you unhook the wire coming from the dash.

Please dont stand between the tires when shorting across the starter.

My dad was starting a car in a parking lot by jumping across the solenoid and when it started it was in gear, luckily it was in reverse altho it wasn't lucky for the car parked across the road. The gearshift was in park but the shift cable broke in "r" thats why it didnt start.
