Rest in Peace
Yep, I had the rooster comb injections for some time before finally replacing the knee. They seemed to help for a little while.

The general gist is any shots can buy you time, but sooner or later you will have to do it.
I'm keeping my arthritic fingers crossed . . . at 76 so far so good.![]()
I'm at around 55, my own fingers crossed. That said, I have so much arthritis in my right arm, God fobid a cop has to cuff me with my hand behind my back.
+1 on that. I used to run in my 20s, 30s and into my early 40s. Funny how once you hit 40 all the abuse you subjected your body to comes back to bite you. Quit running, and gradually my knees got better, when I got into my 60s they started bothering me again, but nowhere near to the extent they did when I ran. I'll probably need replacements someday, but hope to put that day off as long as I can.
With mine it's not so much pain as it is lack of flexibility...I compare it to trying to push a wheelbarrow with a flat tire.
How old are you? The reason I ask is because my wife is 54 and here knees are shot. Her doctors do not want to do knee replacement surgery on her at this age because she is too active, and too young for how long they last. They really want to wait until she is in her 60's so they can do it once and never have to do it again.
Well d@mnit it's only going to get worse lad . . . sorry . . .
