Yes, that is what I've switched to.

Perhaps some of them, like me, can afford to pay BIG BUCKS because we routinely save every penny we can when we can. If I buy an item that is identical to another item I want to pay an identical, or better price. Perhaps one of the more frequent expenses is fuel. Driving in my area along Franconia road diesel prices vary by as much as 30 cents/gallon within two miles, all the same cetane. To fill up my van that's a potential $12 difference.I agree with this post.I can never figure out why people pay BIG BUCKS for tractors and then skimp on the fuilds that are recommended by the tractor company.Go to a Kubota dealer & make life easy plus save on fuel costs & time running around trying to save a buck or two.coobie
It would be interesting to know who actually makes the Kubota UDT

It says on their spec sheet that its made by Valvolene

Uh not exactly- it is made by Ashland.
Ashland does make Valvoline but they also make 76, Doosan, Quality, AutoPride, CarQuest, MileMaster, and apparently- Kubota tractor fluids.
IOW one really can't draw any conclusions as to properties or quality since Ashland makes so many different brands.
They may ALL be identical but it is hard to know for sure...
What does UDT and SUDT stand for?
