I didnt cut and split until this year. Wood has to sit anyway to cure. BTW, you dont make any money doing it, at least with a maul /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif But if you have the time, every little bit helps.

8 ac is a LOT to clear, it would go a lot faster with a track hoe, BUT as long as you can devote the time you will be farther ahead, and you did it yourself.

If you have a wood burner you have a few years supply sitting there /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'll bet I could use it... I've done very well moving with just the bucket with the toothbar. It's helped busting up the wood pile I made before I opened up the back lot. The wood/brush pile used to be my back border.
