I'm sorry, I'm not swapping my tractor's fluids with some stranger's implements, you don't know where they've been! Personally, I practice safe tractoring.
Swapping attachments with hydraulic fluids? Any concerns?

The caps or plugs are nice when they are clean, but after working they are usually filthy. Then my go to is pieces of paper towels stoved in the female connectors. When it's time to connect, pull out the paper towels and a quick rinse with WD or brake cleaner and then a shot to the male connectors and good swipe with a towel, ready to go.
I usually keep paper towels and WD in the cab.

pretty small amount of fluid. I wouldn't be concerned just so long as you know the lines are not full of something awful like 20 year old rusty gunk.

how do you keep the dirt out of the caps??
I have to clean my every time they pick up so much crud if I didn't clean 'em the caps would be the source of dirt in the system.

I am in the same boat now where I don't want the questionable New Holland fluid in my new Bobcat!
I bought 2 gallons of VG 46 yesterday and its as valuable as gold!
Question is -
Instead of wasting fluid, can i just use an air compressor (clean dried air) to purge the lines on the implements before hooking up to the new machine?
