I wouldn't doubt it, have you seen how tight it is in the engine bay?Do you have to remove the cab to change the spark plugs?

Who cares how hard it is to put plugs in? It's not 1974 where you change them every 12k miles.
It's not confusing, basically you CAN NOT get the 3.5l TT engine in a base truck without adding $4650 to the base price. I don't care what else is included, the fact is that if you want that engine in a 2WD reg cab truck it will cost $4650 more. You cannot get it as a $2000 option which was stated. Unless your in Canada apparently.![]()
buck12 said:Ford like most manufactures has made it impossible to buy a vehicle equipped like you want it. The Japanese manufactures are worse than Ford. We are planning to buy a new Explorer in the next few months. My wife can get all the options she wants on the XLT model except the homelink system that includes the build in garage door opener. To get the homelink system you have to purchase the Limited model that includes more options than she wants . When I bought my 09 F150 I wanted a locking rear differential and chrome bumpers. Could not buy a truck factory equipped that way. Itç´ the way the auto business has gone.
I agree fully.
If the automakers let us have only the options that we wanted, they would only make a 35% profit on the trucks.
So which part of it was wrong again...?
.
I will try to make it simple ( speaking slowly) - the engine doesn't cost $4,650 the required upgrade to get the engine- oh never mind!
Maybe now you can speak slowly and explain how someone can get the engine for $2,000.
I'm listening slowly.................
It's like when I ordered a new Blazer. I really wanted a tachometer, simple request, really. But to get it I had to order another very expensive interior "group". No, the tach didn't cost $2,000., but that's what it cost to get one. When I bought a new Ford van I wanted sway bars. I consider them a safety item. But they were not available unless I bought some fancy camper package for my work truck that was going to have a pipe rack on the roof.
Now, I've found I'm forgetting those ridiculous requirements slowly. Maybe I'm just slow.
F-350 SRW would be a better choice yet.
