Charlie, actually, every one I dealt with was polite, extra polite when they saw the wrecker show up:laughing: I have to also say, it was the nicest Sec 8 housing apartments I have ever seen. The ones next door, were what I had expected. I only had one guy look into my locked cab and one look in my equipment trailer, but glad it is done.

Got home and some of the garden was wilted, water and it perked right up. I guess it is so dry, I will have to water every other day.

Either the winter grasses are dying are we are in a drought again, the landscape is turning brown.

Not over here, our cattle are getting fat on the rye grass right now. We have some spots 3' tall.

I don't know how it was possible but the that red and yellow radar mass heading right toward us split and missed us. Most of Lee County did get a good shower, Ill have to water today. Kyle, did Giddings get soaked?

Sorry for the late reply, but I was figuring you guys were stealing all the rain just a mile north of me. Once I figured it had softball sized hail, I started praying for y'all.

Later that same night at 3:30am, we got a small storm with marble sized hail and about .1" amount of rain.

Dennis-- Thanks for the link, but I hope we don't have to use it much this summer.

Charlie

Charlie, me either, but we are heading into the "dry" time of year, strong winds aren't helping either.

Sorry for the late reply, . . .

That's OK, the weekly Giddings newspaper filled me in. :D:laughing:

Just about finished with my pole/sail/pool project. 5 poles, 3 sails (expandable to 7 poles 6 sails if needed). This is get some shade in the pool area and is quicker and cleaner than trees. I'm glad I waited for the sails (triangles) to arrive before I dug the holes. They were advertised as 16' but are actually 18' 3" per side which affected the pole spacing for a taunt sail.

I have the first 3 sails on the west side of the pool (not over like the picture below) for some water warming sun. The future expansion will include partially over the pool if needed.

Kyle I know you were thinking about using these for shade in the kiddos play area. I'll get a pic when I hang the sails.
