I bet there isn't anyone worse with a box blade than me. I do ok on already fairly level ground but if it's bumpy terrain then nope. Think I make more divots.

Robby, does your box blad have 2 blades like a upside down Y where you can tilt it way back on the final passes to smooth it out? It's kind of like dragging the blade backwards.

Wait a sec, I was born in Weimar so shouldn't it be "Ich auch".

Yep, your correct! I was born in Nebraska and came to Texas in 1971 after USAF time. Foreign language offered in my high school was Latin. Made learning Spanish easy.

Spent many years making 1-2 trips a year, fishing the rivers in Southern Venezuela, chasing the Peacock Bass. The hands spoke no English.

Getting windy up there yet? Getting 20+ mph gusts now.

Don, BTW, our first ranch was south of Praha, just east of Flatonia. Bought it in 1991 and all my neighbors were Czechs. They all tried to help me learn to speak Czech. So já také.

The only Czechs I knew were in Houston and trying to escape like me.

Very nice truck. Congratulations.
Mark

Mark,
Thanks. Welcome to TBN. Where in Central Texas do you hail from?
hugs, Brandi

Thanks Brandi. Originally from Austin, currently in San Antonio, with a small place near Cedar Park and the eventual retirement place near Lockhart.

Rebecca and Chloe came over last weekend. She always wants to ride the CAT and the tractor. While I had the grapple on the tractor, Chloe took time out for a break in the bucket................View attachment 464648

Then we took a spin around the driveway and dug up a small cedar tree that died..............View attachment 464647

That made me smile.. nothing better than grandbabies.. well other than great grandbabies.. enjoyed the pics thanks Brandi.. Lou

Your welcome Lou. Guess you have not been washed away yet.
hugs, Brandi

Only got three inches and a dab this time.. Was going to cut and bail this weekend but it will be two more weeks before it's dry.. Lou

We got 2 1/2" in about 45 minutes Tuesday night / Wednesday a.m. Winds over 60 mph too. Complete washed out 4 low place I had just filled and planted grass seed on. That was sure a waste!

Sorry about your washout....they say more is coming Sun-Wed.

Yep, we're presently in the bullseye for 8-10" of rain overnight Monday night.

Kyle,
I started building a boat for all my stuff. Have you? I guess I could just put a snorkel on the CAT.
hugs, Brandi

A boat for a moat,
An Ark for a deluge...
Snorkels work too if they are water tight.

It is actually nice outside. Cloudy and cool, a bit of wind to keep you cool.

I think the new state weed should be declared wild rye. It has taken over the state, coming up early and then growing up through the wildflowers (covering or hiding them). It is quite invasive, but the good news is it is good for cows, it doesn't sting or have a sticker/burr. Some places in my fields have it almost waist deep. Some ranchers will try to bale it if they can get some dry days, but it takes a long time to dry if you don't have a conditioner/crimper.

Have a great weekend.

My aunt and uncle are going to celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary soon.
Spurs fans to celebrate 75th anniversary at game - Victoria Advocate - Victoria, TX

Wow, that is really neat!!!! Are you going to the game also?

I wish...I love the Spurs too, although I'm a closet Rockets fan from way back.

The Rockets had their A$$es handed to them this afternoon, pretty ugly!

I just realized we're back in the Texas Fall Winter Thread.
hugs, Brandi

There was a slip into the Texas Fall Winter thread. Now we are on track and together again.

Thanks Don! Got your supplies yet?

The last time we got 10", I believe it was either Memorial Day weekend or Labor day weekend many years ago. Possibly 2007?

(I don't have that Bird memory.) Anyway, even Hwy 290 was flooded across at CR 205 Airport road.

I admit I know nothing about snakes and get the hegebiegees even thinking about them.

Can someone help identify this one?

Sorry, no close up of his head. No rattles so I let him pass.
