Tractor Supply has Rust-Oleum Kubota orange in gallons, quarts and spray cans. That is what I use. It's around $35 a gallon.

Sweet. If you decide to ever spray it you can thin with acetone. Or for more durable finish you can use a good reducer and hardener with great results. When I restored a few older tractors and implements I always used the rustoleum John Deere green and yellow. Used the reducer and hardener and the finish was glossy and durable. Doing the same with the Majik now.
Might get to sandblasting the tiller tomorrow. Primer and paint to follow.

Well, I started on painting the upper side of the Land Pride mower today.

I ordered the newer style solid rubber tires for it, but the center hole is 0.750" in the new wheel bearings, and half inch on the old wheel bearings and axle bolts. So I would need to drill out the wheel yokes and get bolts to match, or convert the wheel centers down to the 0.5".

I need to talk to Kubota tomorrow.View attachment 546660View attachment 546661View attachment 546662

Got it looking good Larry. The solid rubber tires are what I have on mine also. Definitely the way to go for sure.

I am going to try to email Kubota directly for some help. I'm wondering if they have an adapter sleeve that you can put in the wheel/bearing assembly that will reduce the dimension to the original axle bolt diameter. I think that I would rather not drill it out of it can be helped. IMG_20180402_054406289.jpgIMG_20180402_054350597.jpgIMG_20180402_054322218.jpg

Oh, I did get 1 coat of Rust-Oleum on the top yesterday. After work I'll hit it again and see if 2 coats is enough, or if 3 is required.IMG_20180401_133649650.jpg

It's a lot longer, I didn't measure, but I would guess the wheel is around 4" wide, then there are 2 spacers that are about and inch wide. Likely 6 to 7 inches between the yoke ears.

The bushings from that seller are just Dom tubing. They could cut them to any length

How wide is the hub? If I understand correctly you just need a bushing to step the 3/4 down to 1/2 to use your original Half inch bolt.

I’ve bought from this seller just a few weeks ago.

Steel Bushing / Sleeve 3/4" OD x 1/2" ID x 3" Long 4 Pc CDS DOM | eBay

Look up a bearing supply house like Applied Industrial Technologies, Kaman Bearing, Bearings Services, Bearings Inc. Take your wheels and axles to them with your distance between yokes, and they should be able to get you the sleeves required. I don't think I would DOM steel tubing for lack of grease ability. Sleeve beaings can be oil impregnated, or have grease grooves in them. Good Luck, Jon
