Get them a 20 pack of Modelo Exspecial. I've seen plenty of worn out shovels, but never a worn out pick.
I replaced one OK guy with 2 great guys! I guess my complaint is putting up with ok for a couple years(until he didn’t show up for 3 days with no contact).

That sounds like you learned the meaning of the saying; "hiring him was like losing 2 good men."

I had to go around some people talking in cars in neighborhood, in those 3 inches off the edge I smushed a big dog poo. Really stank and got all in fender. Glad I don’t have wide hanging out tires that seem popular for no known reason.

I really don't get the wide set tire thing on pickups, these days. It reduces the payload and hauling capacity of the truck, by creating a cantilever on the axle flange, although I'm sure few take that into account. It also sprays stones and road dirt all over the sides of your truck, and at vehicles behind you. It also looks stupid.

I think they got it right 60 years ago.

Someone called the cable company I subcontract for to complain and ask when someone was coming to fix there yard!!

The funny part was I was still in the yard just getting started digging holes and drilling!

We had it done, restores, seeded and strawed the same day.

If I had to guess, upper middle class neighborhood, possibly getting into the lower end of upper class? So, utility work, road work, ect, normally lower a d lower middle class, they are just excited to get the road paved/internet/water, whatever, and almost never complain. Rural folks (excluding horsepeople...) normally dont either. The extreme upper end, also tend to understand your making sausage, don't watch, just wait for it to be done and enjoy it. It's the upper middle and lower upper, that expect everything to look perfect instantly... "you sodded the side of the road with cow field grass", well yep, we did, and give it 2 or 3 good rains and it will look fantastic, but right now, it does have weeds, and cow crap in it.

Not a complaint, just an observation.
I did grow up around traffic lights but we don't have any within 40 miles of here. I guess I need to study up on regulations.
I was taught that green means go, red means stop. Yellow means it's about to turn red so you should stop if you can safely do so.

I was in town this weekend and apparently that's been changed? Green means sit there until it turns yellow, then go through the light while making everyone behind you wait for another cycle. Yellow means go. Red means speed up 20 mph so that you get into the intersection before traffic starts crossing.

Is this the new law? 🤔

What I saw today in my 9 minute drive home from work had me thinking it was a movie shoot or someone with the police in hot pursuit but the police don’t do that any more.

One at a railroad crossing with the arms down and a stream of cars getting out of line driving up the empty oncoming lanes and going sideways through the arms.

The second was a red light every one stopped and late model pickup goes into the left turn lane and hits a hard right with tires squealing across the front of the two lanes of cars waiting for the light to turn to continue.

Seldom are these cars plated so maybe they did just rob the liquor store because that about all that is left open here…

Maybe time for a dash cam?
