Well, that was plan A. It failed because it couldn't get past the splice from last year's accident with the backhoe! So after cutting thru ten feet of ice, the snake couldn't finish the job.
So Plan B was put into action. I drove to work (which has that wonderful unlimited municipal water supply!) and filled my 300 gallon sap container with tap water. The truck is in the driveway, pointed uphill, with a hose running from the tank to the cistern. 300 gallons only gave me a quarter fill, but it's enough to get by for now if we go into conservation mode!
