threads/posts I\'ve read are becoming \"unread\"?

For example,

Mwurms vacation home thread. I read it yesterday. This morning it is showing 31 posts 31 new? This isn't the only thread that it has happened to. I can't identify any kind of pattern to it.

To be fair, I check TBN at home & at work, is that causing the problem? Any settings I need to check on Internet Explorer or on my tbn home?

Thanks

Re: threads/posts I\'ve read are becoming \"unread\"?

I've noticed some strange behavior as well. It will tell me there are unread posts in a forum, but when I go to that forum, there are no threads with new posts indicated. However, if I look at the time stamps of those threads, they are later than the last time I read them, so I go into them and there are posts that I haven't read. Hmmm... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Usually these re caching and/or cookie issues. If you haven't already, you can try clearing your temporary internet files, deleting the tractorbynet.com cookie, and then logging in again from the locating where you're having problems.

Also be sure to refresh the page if threads appear as unread when they actually are read.

Well it worked on my home computer. Got to try the work one now.

Thanks! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: threads/posts I\'ve read are becoming \"unread\"?

Clearing out the temp files & cookies didn't work on my work computer. But upgrading to the latest Internet Explorer did.

Keep up the good work.

Re: threads/posts I\'ve read are becoming \"unread\"?

When confused in IE try a ctrl F5 sequence.

That usually clears some cache in a "stonger" way.
