You can't beat a tilt trailer.
I've got a 20" that is the cat's meow.
No mo ramps is a real advantage.

There's a chance that a very compact car dolly could come in at about 20".

We use one to deliver a lot of our machines with.
If your looking at a power up and down trailer.
I would say a must for someone with a bad knee is to get one with a remote control.
The angle of the bed will make it difficult to get on and off any machine.
It is neat to be able to drive up on and with a key chain push the button and the trailer levels.
You will be glad you spent the extra TRUST ME!

I added one of these kits to my friends dump trailer
he was really confused when backed in and dumped it with out getting of cab except to release the gate.

and use one for my generator start/stop at my cabin
