Titan Stump Bucket Sale - not so much

My problem with (palletforks.com) Titan was about 8 months ago.

I ordered the "on-sale" pallet forks. The forks showed up in 3 or 4 days but the backing plate was MIA. No tracking and they initially said it was lost in shipping and file a claim. Called the next day and they said it was on backorder. Then gave a new shipping date. They changed the new shipping date 3 times in the following 10 days or so. I canceled the backing plate, and it took a week or so, and multiple calls to get the money credited back to my card. I ended up buying one at Ag-Supply in Valdosta.

Sending partial orders, lost orders and filing claims appears to be their business practice.

I'll never deal with them again.

I ordered my Titan land plane from Amazon to avoid this crap. What a bunch of nonsense.

When I was pallet fork shopping, reading reviews on Titan's had more than a few people reporting partial shipments w/o explanation, damaged items received, hard to get refunds, etc.

I will say I orders an ssqa plate from them before w/o any problems.

Seems to be a lot of shady sales tactics going on lately. Have bought from Titan and EA several attachments without a problem. Recently bought a tree puller from EA on holiday sale. Had to pay 100% immediately. Then told I made a mistake a day later when I called to confirm shipping date and needed to pay $300 more. Shipping 4 months out. I used their website and couldn’t change their pricing but was somehow my fault and they are upset and inconvenienced. Canceled order.

same when I bought from Homestead Implements a while back, payment 100% immediately then ship 2 months later. It felt less risky and dirty when you used to pay when the product shipped.

I guess whatever the market will bear. I personally will not prepay for a product (non custom) in advance of manufacture. One week shipping date, fine... 4 months, no.

But then what is "shipped"??
I've dealt with several companies that "don't bill until shipped" but define "shipped" as when they cut the shipment papers to FedEx or UPS etc.
So you check on the sellers website it indicates "shipped" (hence you are billed) within the day after you order the item. Then you check on the shippers website and they say they are waiting for the goods.
I've had that take almost a week.
It lets some companies claim things like "all orders ship within 2 days".

That is on steroids with anything alibaba.
Ordered a motorcycle tire wheel adapter for my balancer guaranteed 12 day delivery.

Paid 15 bucks in shipping for less than a lb. Seller shows shipped but no tracking is available. Finally shows up 32 days from when they were paid.
Alibaba warrantee is a one dollar "coupon".........................!

A nameless advertiser on this site wants 100% payment up front and I never do that with anything so I don't do business with them as I'm not funding their operation. I have no issue with 50% down on an expensive item and balance upon shipping conformation, but pay in full up front. no way, ain't gonna happen here. If I ran my hay business like that, I'd be outta business.

I can order most everything through my Kubota dealer with nothing up front and it's usually delivered by them or common carrier and then they present me with a due bill.

Yup, just like airplanes pushing back to have an "on time departure" statistic and then sitting on the tarmac for 2 hours!

I have bought a couple items from palletforks.com aka Titan: a set of quick attach fixed pallet forks and a quick attach receiver hitch for moving trailers around. They are fine for the jobs I use them for, but in ordering, I do not remember any handling fee - that is something new!
Must be the same idea as the "Service Fee" I paid last week when we went to a local restaurant...?

Here is my experience: about a year ago (maybe two) i ordered a pallet fork frame (was on sale at the time). Forget the fact that it was ?maybe? just wrapped with a loose piece of cardboard, but it must have fallen off a truck somewhere, as the entire side was bent in. I send pictures, emails, etc, and was only offered $30, not even 5%. I will never deal with them again. They out right refused to send a non-damaged replacement.

I ordered a set of pallet forks from them, and they have been OK.
I also ordered a 8' hydraulic rear blade from them and that was crap. The main pivot shaft snapped after 5hrs of use. Cost $500 for a replacement part because it is part of an "assembly". I ordered new bearing sets for it at the same time. The bearing sets are two different ones. They sent me two of the same. I have been back and forth with them for 2 months over that bearing. They offered to refund the cost of that one bearing, about $45, but have not seen that credit yet after over a month.
They might be ok to order basic stuff from, but anything expensive, I would pass.
Check Ritchie Bros., Bar None, and even the auctions on EquipmentFacts. You can get the same stuff usually for 40% cheaper than Titan.

Lol so this thread became that?!! Well since you axe, I didn't even see that charge until after I got home and double-checked the receipt. Probably a good thing, because at the time we were out with our good friends, but they are total woketards. If I saw that charge then, I'd purposely short the waiter on his tip, and then tell him to get the rest from the equity fee...and then my communist buddy would make a show of covering my short tip, all virtue signalingly and stuff, and then I'd probably hurt his feelings. So, all that would be bad.

Ironically, it's the "woketard" administration trying to make corporate junk fees illegal. The "asleeptards" generally protect their corporate donors.

Bought a set of their pallet forks, work great, they were recommended by my neighbor, a retired JD dealer and mechanic, but considering the current world conditions I would rather not buy from the covid commanders.

I bought clamp on pallet forks from pallet forks.com many years ago. Free shipping and lifetime warranty. Bent one of them and they replaced it free. Being hard on equipment , broke a pallet fork frame and asked for replacement. Not anymore. The stump bucket I bought for my skid steer from them in sale a couple years ago had free shipping. It works great

This thread popped up a few days ago.

A lot more expensive than the Titan. However, it also seems to be a multi function attachment, both digging, as well as opening with teeth.

Hopefully the company won't be yanking your chain.

They're working on larger Skid Steer attachments at the moment. But, they seem interested in diversifying to other markets, so it might be worth contacting them with your needs.

As far as pallet forks. I'm seeing several of the local farm/equipment auctions are dumping a lot of them on the market. (Washington, Oregon, California). I assume elsewhere across the country too.

A lot of hydraulic skid steer attachments.

Forks, Mowers, and a lot of other unique attachments.

I don't think I've seen any stump/tree pullers yet.. but they'll come.

They also sell a bunch of Connex boxes. I talked to some of the workers at one of the auctions, and they just get the whole Connex boxes full of stuff shipped from China, and then empty out the boxes and sell the equipment and containers.
