does the PTO shaft on a b6000 turn faster than that on other tractors

Mith,

It is a 3 speed PTO

With Engine speed @ 2700 rpm

1st 560 rpm
2nd 840
3rd 1350

I run the cutting deck in second.

Hope this helps.

Not a clue!!!!

I would imagine there are some attatchment that may need those speeds? Just don't know what they might be.

Maybe nice for a post hole digger to use the slower speed, but it turns the wrong way!

nother question if i may -
does the 3 point linkage only have powee up and not power down - it has to have weight on it to get it down?
thanks in advance

Mith,

It is "power up" only. But it takes very little weight to drop. I have an "everthing utility bracket" I have made, it weighs maybe 50 lbs, and it is enough for it to drop smoothly.

Hope this helps,

ok thanks
do you tink that with the addition of a valve somewhere in the hydraulic ystem dual acting hydraulics could be added for like some remoted for a rear blade or something
i guess it can be done for loaders and the such
thanks for you help, much appreciated

Mith,

I think the only way you are going to be able to accomplish this would be to add a set of rams and associated plumbing to drive the hitch down. The system in the B6000 uses a one way piston, it is lowered by releasing the hydraulic fluid.

Or maybe a big set of springs?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

im not necessarily interested in making the 3pt power down - just thinking about two way remotes so i can have something like a ram that powers in/out for example to turn a blade
dont worry, you answered the question anyway
if i ask too much tell me, i dont want to waste your time
thanks
