Overtightened bolts will not cause fatigue.fatigue is caused by repeat loading of the bolt. You can snap a bolt by overtightening.But, you need to subtract 30% from the clean dry torque value to prevent fatigue or outright snapping the bolt off. If you don't believe me, just google wet torque vs dry torque. Also, read the article I linked above.
The generally acceptable guidance is only lube if specified in the technical manual.
I own the Tekton trust me NOT the same as harbor freight ..I shopped both before I bought.Exactly the same as the Pittsburg (HF) wrench, right down to the plastic case. Lots less at HF. Problem with cheap wrenches is, they only indicate in one direction.... right. Not left.
