Any thoughts on cutting down the control sticks?

They look long for my taste.

Depends on how light the controls are. When they are quite heavy (no servo) i'd rather have them a little longer so it takes less force to move them, in precise digging you get cramped arms when you have to give too much force on them.

Some people like these new forklift trucks with 3cm electric control levers, but i hate them...

Well...you are the one lucky enough to use this great backhoe therefore as long as you are happy then I guess I will be quiet lol

Very nice backhoe and the build thread is great. I find your work inspiring and I've referenced it a few times in conversation with friends. We all like to tinker and build stuff and it is always neat meeting others who do the same. I'm sure I've shared this thread with at least a dozen others.
