:) , thanks, but I would not go that far...I just love building things...and they say I have some extra "wire" for it. This backhoe project is the most complex project so far.

RScotty, thanks for the link, I've read the whole topic, and in my opinion you had some little object, piece of metal or similar in your system, thats why your swing did not work properly. By the way, I would like to see some videos of your Kubota M59 at work..do you have any?

Yes, I think you are right. Possibly a piece of crud was caught in the control valve or bypass valve and dislodged by the backflow of fluid when gravity acting on the heavy assembly forcibly moved the cylinder.

No, no video and we are still under a foot or so of snow. Here's some pictures from a warmer time.

Excellent craftsmanship, and your ability to put your thoughts to paper is amazing!

That comment it spot on, getting it from your mind to paper and then reality is quite a gift! And being you are only 28 I would love to see what you can do at 56! Very nice and very interesting, thanks for posting! John.....

Thanks guys. Well, I'm self taught in all this; I started welding, drilling and cutting when I was 15 years old. Recently I finished college and got a degree as an Electrical Engineer, but building new machines is my real passion
i can see that stuff is something you enjoy. amazing work!
