Tractor pictures

These pictures were taken in the spring. A friend of mine wanted to move some pine logs from a lot that was about 10 miles from his house. He has a full size JCB backhoe, and didn't really want to drive it on the road, and transporting it with apickup was out of the question. He was originally going to try & winch the logs onto the trailer and unload them at his house with his bakhoe. I volunteered my tractor and it went really quick.

I am pictured with my co-pilot and future owner of my L3400. My 1200 pound ballast worked great.

Here are some pictures of the tractors we were using at work today. I could not resist taking a picture of my b3200 next to our two bigest tractors. The last two are of the equipment that I run every day.

As that your personal little collection? We do that at our party we have in the fall. The most tractors we've had lined up was 15. We had 13 of ours, and a neighbor brought 2. But, usually it's just ours. And now we're down to just 9 tractors. All a mix of colors.

Yes and no. They were all mine. The ZD326 has been replaced with a F3680 and the B6100 (which is the little one second form the end) was sold. We had a family reunion at our place last summer and I set up a little machinery hill for the old timers. It made for good conversation. Mostly how much things have changed.

The one closest in picture Is that an L series 260? very nicely restored Kubota
I can see its not the 200 because the 200 head lights are in front of the flat top fenders, and yours are up front in the grilland have the rounded fenders,
I'd Love to have it

Thanks deepNdirt. It is a 1973 L210. The L210 was the first "L series" specifically made for import to the USA. The L200 was imported, but was also sold in Japan. I believe if you look at a L200 the serial number plate it will be in Japanese. Starting with the L210, it is in English. It was a fun project. Send me a PM regarding your desire to own it.

Well at one time I was looking for either an L-200 or L-260 your L210 would had been perfect,
I almost settle with an L1500 or better known as the L185 But at the last minute on the way to pick up the L1500 I found the Ym 1700 instead, and it was about the size tractor I'd been looking for, Before owning the Ym1700 I owned a L140 for 11 years and really enjoy using that tractor and even had a trailer setup to haul it with, I had thought about how much more work I could do if it only had a FEL, so I purchased one to instal onto the L140 but soon found out it was to large for the tractor so instead of re-selling the loader I decide to get a larger tractor,one I could equip with a FEL ,yet still needed it to be compact enough to fit onto my trailer, I wished I could had kept the L140 it was a Grey but still a classic and very reliable, here in one picture you can see the l-140 pull up to the FEL and how much to large the loader would had been, But I still think that little dude would have handled it, atleast for a little while

Jacob,... what are those 2 units that at very quick glance could "almost" pass for Ford 8-N's?

I would guess they are some sort of Japanese units but difficult to tell. They look pretty sharp and are obviously brand new and not restorations. (far too modern in every aspect) Are they new Branson models, or something Branson handles. Do you know the proper name for them? I tried to blow up the photo but still was unable to read the name plate on the side of the hood. But they are a most interesting looking tractor. Should sell.

Pardon my ignorance, but can someone explain the word "Boomer" to me. I know it is a New Holland model but I'm not familiar with the word or its use with the "so called" 8-N look alikes above ?

PS: ...got your most interesting PM today Jacob for which I thank you very much and will reply shortly, but just had to get over here and have a peek at your drawings. Wish we lived closer,..we could draw together and share some tips. I'd love to show you how to draw those tractor tires more acurately when showing them at such awkward (drawing) angles,..taint easy!
Keep it up, you've got a "God-Given-Talent" that just takes lots of practice and eventual perfection.

Tip: take "one" rear tire by itself, straight-on, no fancy angles and perfect it, get used to "all" aspects of it. Then draw one on the 3/4 angle you've been using and check it against "all" aspects of the first one that you know is correct. Draw it light so you can erase it and simply "perfect" it in all aspects. Try a different angle and perfect that. The idea will finally come to you,..then draw a tractor and put the tires on. The treads are difficult but with practice you'll get it. It's knowing what to look for,...and that will come with practice.

Now PLEASE don't take this wrong!! It is criticism for sure,... but it's well meant "constructive-criticism"!!! ....(to help you).
