Trailer for 580D

Hello,

I recently purchased a case 580D. How do you all typically transport your tractor this size? Most people won't touch it because it's just beyond their hauling capabilities.
I don't plan on transporting it that often but each time I go to move it it looks like it will cost me $300-$400 to move it 30 miles.
What trailer would work that I should look into buying?
This might be a strange question but if I were to buy a trailer, can I leave it stored parked on the trailer or is it better to unload the weight off of it?

30 miles drive it and get paid for 1 hr. Takes a lot of trips to pay for a 24,000 lb. GVW trailer and truck large enough to pull it.

The routes I have to take are kind of a pain with highways and I'm not transporting it right now for jobs, this is personal use so far.
What kind of MPG does a 580D get? Or hours per gallon I guess.

I moved my 580E exactly once- had it trucked 290 miles. Cost me around $700 iirc. Vehicle/trailer/hoe gets very close to, if not over CDL required limit.

It will spend the rest of its life on my acreage.

I have driven my tractor around 100 miles on a highway before. I wouldn’t make a habit of it but I wouldn’t be scared of a trip if I had to. Heck last year I drove a rubber tracked crawler about seven miles on the road. Took almost two hours.

To safely haul something that big you need a dually, and a tandem dual or triple axle trailer. This will be a class A vehicle and depending on your state you may need either a CDL or a class A non commercial license.

Paying to have it hauled might be your best bet. You could hire it hauled a lot of times for what it would cost to be set up to do it yourself.
