Trailer north or south

Yesterday, I passed a guy on the Interstate trailering a golf cart canopy-forward. He was travelling about 65 MPH, and the top on that thing was severely wind distorted. Every time he was hit by a blast due to a big rig, the top flapped.

I got away from him as fast as I could. He was a golf cart dealer, according to the sign on his truck.

I trailer mine forward (fiberglass canopy) but I run 2 small ratchet straps over it. I hook one end at the rear edge of the canopy near one side, over the top, and the other end to the steering wheel. Then put another on the other side, same method. Mine is pretty strong also, but it does not take much wind to exert a lot of force. If air got under it a little and started it to rise, I am afraid it would fold back and rip off.

Did you scale that load in that configuration? It looks like it is not well balanced with too much tongue weight and probably too much weight on the front trailer axle. (It's real hard to tell from looking, super hard to tell from a pictue - so don't take it the wrong way. The only way to KNOW is to run across a scale)
