truck plow to tractor plow

some of the truck-to-tractor plow conversions I have seen have had skid shoes on the mounting bracket to keep the loader arms off the ground.

Not bad.....add some mounting loops to the bottom of the skid steer plate and just add some meyers plow skid shoes.......hmmmmm, might just have to look into that some more.

Hi Builder,

I had a 6' truck plow on my Kubota last year. The plow set up was 1/2 Fisher, 1/2 Myers. That's the way I bought it. I used the electric over hydraulic to power angle and the bucket for the up and down. A simple toggle switch in the dash to a solinoid was all I needed. I cut down the original quick disconnect frame to just a bottom rail and welded on ears to be bolted into the bucket. I could pull the plow and leave the ears only...and then unbolt the ears in the winter. I'm using a snowblower now but the plow worked great and didn't need nearly as much maint.

You can buy 3/8 and 1/2 restrictors at TSC. Very cheap only need one. I used them on my truck to tractor plow. Also used one on my 3 pt hydraulic tilt cylinder.

Where are they installed in the hydraulic circuit?

Probably between the hose and the QD.

I actually just built a frame that attaches to the loader arms on my JD 2305 and welded a 60" atv plow w/ manual tilt to it. It works great. It is pretty light duty - which is fine for my machine.

I attached some pics. The nice thing I like about this system is that you can raise the plow to pile snow higher.

Just put them somewhere on the hoses going to the cylinders. Doesn't really matter if near the coupler or cylinder. If the flow is too restrictive, drill the hole in the restrictor slightly bigger. Use a very small bit and drill only a tiny hole. I have them also on my skid steer snow plow.

Now I'm used to the speed. I kind of like it. I'm more concerned now about over-pressure on the seals on the angling cylinders. I wonder if I'll blow a seal?
