Very Functional 49 cent Addition

I've got a pocket watch on a long chain. I hardly ever look at it unless I want to know the date. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Nice cheap addition!

I tend to keep a cell phone in my shirt pocket. Always has the correct time and doubles as a small safety measure, should I do something stupid and still be able to dial 911.

The alternative is to look up at the house, once in a while. If my wife is standing on the deck with folded arms and scowling, I know what time it is (time to figure a good excuse why I HAVE to get another 1/2 hr.'s seat time in /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif).

trlong,
I have a similar time keeping method. If the wife's arms are by her side I've got about 30 minutes of seat time then I need to start putting everything away. if one hand on hip, I need to finish what I am doing, put the tractor away; both hands on hips, put the tractor away. Arms folded, park tractor where is and think up something up quick before within hearing range, if within hearing range, keep motor running and feather gas like I listening for something in the engine until I think up something good. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

A man with one watch always knows what time it is, but a man with two watches is never really sure. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Now I am going all out -leaving now stone unturned- trying to find a 49 cent thermometer. I'm really getting exhaustedl. Shopping is not my thing.

You could always add the ultimate low cost weather device. The ol' weather string. You know, "If string is wet... it's raining." etc. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Using string like that is rather on the extravagant side.

I use the slippery dome method. Tain't much growth on my dome, and water rolls right off. Well...when I want to know if it is raining, I remove my hat and if my face gets wet....
Pretty clever says I.
