Yet a Kawasaki ZX-12R one-liter crotch rocket that does 0-100 in four seconds and has a top speed close to 200mph doesn't even have any warning signs on it.

In fact, anyone 16 years old can walk in and drive off in one, in most states without a helmet?

You'd think the crotch rocket bikes would all be plastered with warning labels?

That's because CPSC isn't in charge of vehicle safety, NHTSA is. Our tractors aren't "vehicles."

Best warning label I ever saw was so simple and matter of fact. Seen on drums of 50% Toluene + 50% MEK we were buying to clean adhesive dispensing equipment. A simple yellow label with black block letters -

WARNING - BREATHING VAPORS MAY CAUSE DEATH.

I'd say that one was accurate and to the point...

Some warnings are really good... Still like this sticker off of my Kubota FEL...
Effective, eh? Makes you think twice when you're thinking about lifting a heavy load up high.
I can just imagine the people in the Sticker Design Department (surely directly reporting to the Legal Department) trying to come up with these graphics. Think of the conversation:
"Hey George, what do you think of this large cannonball falling on the guy in the tractor?"
"Yeah, that's great, Gus, but you need to put his hands in the air trying to stop the cannonball to show the futility of it."
Gus: "Oooh, ooh, yeah and the cannonball needs little motion marks around it!"
George: "Ooh yes! And make the cannonball LARGER and BLACK!!"
Gus: "Oooh, yeah, and MORE MOTION MARKS!!! Legal will love this one!!"
That one should be on one of the loader arm cross braces so you see it every time it goes up. A further problem comes from a canopy blocking hi lift sight cues.

Futility?

It CLEARLY looks to me like he's 100% ready and preapared to simply catch the ball the loader is tossing his way.

This is how I intend to practice prior to my major league debut....

I thought it was some sort of "how to" on using the tractor as an exercise machine with a medicine ball.

As regards "A further problem comes from a canopy blocking hi lift sight cues."

If I lean forward in my cab I can see the loader when it is all the way up. I use it to stack round bales 3 rows high. It is not quite as convenient a view as with an open station but not a problem. That could be a significant factor for some cab tractors and an issue to check on before buying.

When I do training, one of the prime examples we use is the product we call

Methyl ethyl death

Kinda covers a wide range, and most students get the point. :D

We also tend to send Hazwaste to the land of "Away". Good place not to live.

i saw one on a jlg lift i was using at the dealership today it said something to the effect of do not place hands here minor to moderate injury may occur. i thought it was kinda weird to see a label that didnt say may cause injury or death

Hi All,

I'll have to look but I think one on my lawnmower says:
"Caution blade turns when engine is running" with a picture of a blade chopping fingers off a hand with some drops of blood.

Mowers didn't have labels the first time I got to use one. My father said "if you stick your hand or foot under there it'll get cut off and there's nothing the doctor can do to fix it" That was enough for me.
