Something that always amazes me, if church leaders want to expand their "nice" building. It needs to be larger, more class rooms, better parking.
Was in a church where this was going on. One Sunday they had a missionary couple come and show slides of their work. They show the folks setting on rocks set is some order. The walls were corrugated galvanized tin (with some rust), like we'd use for an animal shelter. The top of the tin just ran up wild and ended in various lengths, not trimmed off at all. The couple estimated all the church buildings in the area cost about $225 total cost.
So the $80,000 they were trying to raise on other nights could build 355 churches where these folks were ministering. Seems like a no brainer to me, but they gave the couple, I'm sure, an offering, sent them on their way, then built the building they didn't need!
